Country
So the first thing i'll talk abt is country. After having juz watched the movies fury and 1965, what i gathered are death, country, war. If ur country was at war, would u fight and protect it? What would u be willing to do? In fury, u see the deaths tht come wif war and the ugly side of it, how u haf to continue fighting even tho ur friend has juz died next to u and all the acts against humanity. Then u also see the good side in ppl. In the main characters, where the german soldier let the guy live. Also in 1965 the brother who did wrong by setting off the bomb, he probably didnt think thru what he was doing or had too much hate, but somewhat redeemed himself by saving his brother's daughter. When u see the ppl dying, dont u ask urself, why? Why do they have to fight? And each time i think of those deaths i feel sad inside and sympathise for those who have lost their lives since both movies were somewhat based on real stories. Its hard to believe that that happened during my parents time, 1965 that is. Not the german war. Were they scared? Considering how young they were maybe they cant rmb. My popo told me once that during the war when japan was in control of sg, that her mother had ran into a japanese soldier, but he had let them live and even gave them milk powder for my popo who was still juz a baby cuze she reminded him of his own daughter. My generation and those after it, will we be able to understand what the prev generations had to go thru? Would we stay and fight for our country? Im asking this considering tht sg is becoming more and more like a country full of foreigners. Who are the ones tht are going to stay and fight for her. I truly hope that there will be peace cuze i doubt the earth will be able to take another world war truthfully. On that note i think we should cherish what we have and not be complacent and conceited. And a country wouldnt be a country without its ppl and its the ppl u love that make u love a country. The memories u haf in it. Vigilance. Love.
